Fortnite Chica Icon Series – Release date, Chica Cup, skins, more

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is reaching its conclusion as Epic Games continues to add more limited time events to keep players engaged. As Fortnite's Star Wars celebration continues, the publisher gears up for yet another community spotlight, this time bringing Maria 'Chica' Lopez as part of its Icon series.

The Chica Icon Series set will be available from the Item Shop; however, players can snag Chica's skin and Chica's Star Back Bling early by performing well in the Chica Cup. We've detailed everything related to the Fortnite Chica Icon series, including the limited-time event, themed cosmetics, new Creative Island mode and more.

Fortnite Chica Icon Series –  Chica Cup release date, rules and more

According to an official blog post, players can compete in Fortnite Chica Cup starting on 7th May 2022. In the Zero Build Duos mode, you can play up to 10 matches within the three hours time window, in which times are time-zoned dependent.

You can find the regional unlock time by locating the Compete tab within the game. Earn the highest points to unlock Chica's skin and the back bling for free. You can earn at least eight points which will also net you the Chica Was Here Spray.

To participate in the Chica Cup event, you'll need to meet two specific prerequisites, having reached Level 50 and higher and having Two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled. For more details on this event's eligibility, you can head to the dedicated Official Rules webpage.

You can also unlock the Pollito Spray for free by watching their favourite Fortnite streamers. Link your Epic Games account to your Twitch account and watch any Fortnite stream for an hour on Twitch between 10 am ET on 6th May 2022 to 10 pm ET on 8th May 2022.

For every elimination made during this limited-time event will grant you one point. Earning a Victory Royale will give you 25 points. Below you will find the entire scoring system for the Chica Cup.

Fortnite Chica Icon Series – Cosmetic set and items

The Chica skins come in five variants: the Prismatic Streak, Royale Streak, Shades, and Hunter Mask styles with the default Chica outfit. Aside from Chica's skins, the Icon Series set also comes with Chica's Star Back Bling and its alternative style, Royale Streak.

Other items include Aida's Edge Pickaxe and its alternative style and the Pollo Dance Emote. We do not know how much the Chica Icon Series set would cost at the time of writing.

Chica's Fun Run Creative Island

The update will also add a new Creative SIland mode by KyberCreative called Chica's Fun Run. You can access Chica's Creative Island mode by entering the Island Code -8432-7199-6378 but try to avoid the dreaded fall damage during this Creative Island mode.
