Fortnite downtime, patch size and Season 3 start time

Here's when the Fortnite downtime will start, and when Season 3 will possibly get underway with a bigger than usual Fortnite patch size.

With the Doomsday Device event complete, Fortnite fans are waiting in anticipation for Season 3 to get underway. Before the next season can begin, players will need to take a break as there will be Fortnite downtime with a new update, before the start of Season 3.

You should also expect the Fortnite Season 3 patch size to be bigger than usual.

 

When Fortnite downtime will begin

Epic Games has revealed the Fortnite downtime will begin at 07:00 UK time (GMT+1)

Epic Games has revealed it will be bigger than normal due to all the content in the new patch.

The Fortnite Season 3 patch size is 10.8 GB.

 

Fortnite Season 3 start time

With the downtime starting at 07:00 UK time (GMT+1), leaks will likely start appearing as dataminers go through the new update, revealing what players can expect from Fortnite Season 3. 

The exact Fortnite Season 3 start time is still unknown. However, you can expect Season 3 to start between 11:00 and 13:00 on 17th June 2020, judging by previous downtime lengths. 

We will update this article when Epic Games announces the downtime is over, so you can jump into Fortnite Season 3.
