Fortnite Joker skin leaks next-gen console release date

DC’s Super-Villains are coming to Fortnite, but their release date information may just have shed some light on exactly when the next-gen consoles will be releasing.
In a new partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC, Fortnite announced that it will be bringing long-awaited DC villains to the battle royale title. In an upcoming DC Super-Villains bundle, named The Last Laugh, players can get their hands on Joker, Poison Ivy, and Midas Rex skins.

For the bundled price of £24.99, purchasers will also get their hands on 1000 V-Bucks, 3 Back Blings (Laugh Riot, Back Bloom, Midas Crest), four Pickaxes (Bad Joke, The Joker’s Revenge, Ivy Axe, Kingmaker) and the Pick a Card Contrail.

On the official Epic Games website, the bundle’s release date is revealed for 17th November. What’s notable about this fact is that the developer specifically indicates that this will be on next-gen consoles, as well as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

For those who play Fortnite on mobile or on PC, the Last Laugh bundle is yet to be revealed for these platforms, but Epic Games promises that they’ve “got you covered”. The skins will likely be coming at a slightly later date for these platforms, assuming that Fortnite can get back into mobile gaming’s good books.

Although Epic Games may be dropping hints, we still don’t know exactly when next-gen consoles the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 will be launching. The 17th November appears to be our closest actual reference point to-date, with analysts predicting the launch to be early Holiday 2020.

Only time will tell exactly when the highly-anticipated consoles will finally be released, but we’re willing to bet that Epic Games isn’t the only company on the market with insider information. Before long, we’re bound to get a full leak or two, if a reveal doesn’t come sooner than that.

Fortnite’s The Last Laugh bundle will be available 17th November for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
