Gwen Stacy has been teased in the fifth issue cover of the Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War comic series. Does this mean she is getting an Outfit?

Epic Games' latest five-issue comic book crossover series, Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War, launched on 8th June 2022 and has been a hit among fans of the Marvel Comics franchise. Now, fans are even more excited as yet another famed character appears to be headed to Fortnite: Gwen Stacy.

Per the official Epic Games blog post, each issue will launch periodically, along with five named Fortnite cosmetics, including a Spider-Man Outfit, Iron Man Wrap, Wolverine Pickaxe, and comic-exclusive Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War-based Spray and Loading Screen.

Accordingly, players who redeem all five cosmetic items will unlock an additional secret Outfit that will be granted in-game; however, Epic Games has not revealed which character will receive this Outfit.

Is Gwen Stacy getting a Skin in Fortnite?

Notably, Gwen Stacy was revealed on the cover of the fifth and final issue of the Fornite x Marvel: Zero War comic, releasing on 28th September 2022. Unsurprisingly, this fueled fan suspicion of her impending arrival on the island, particularly since her unveiling came directly from Epic Games.

This latest tease was first noted by prominent Fortnite leaker FNBR Intel via Twitter on 17th June 2022 and later circulated on social media by fellow data miners HYPEX and Shiina. "New Marvel cover, Gwen in Fortnite?" the leaker wrote.

Since Gwen Stacy is presumably set to feature in Issue 5 of the Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War comic, it is certainly possible that we could see her release in Fortnite as the unidentified "additional Outfit that will be granted in-game."

Whether Gwen Stacy's Fortnite skin will be a comic-exclusive or if the Outfit will be purchasable via the Item Store, however, is still not clear. Still, what is clear, is that Gwen Stacy's arrival in Fortnite would align with Epic's charge at expanding the ever-growing Marvel-themed metaverse.
