Fortnite Refer-a-Friend program details - How to get Rainbow Racer Skin

For what seems like years now, Epic Games has operated a long-running Fortnite referral program to help spread the popularity of their title and reward those who do. The Refer-a-Friend program is a free promotion for gamers to be rewarded with in-game content for procuring another download of Epic Games' battle royale.

Rewards range from V-Bucks for purchasing items to skins and other cosmetics. Now Epic Games is providing gamers with a chance to unlock a special Rainbow Racer skin through Refer-a-Friend.

Here's everything you need to know about how to unlock the Rainbow Racer skin in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8.

How to get Rainbow Racer skin Fortnite Season 8

To give new and experienced gamers a boost, Fortnite Refer-a-Friend rewards are available for both the referrer and referee. It's a fairly simple process and gamers can refer up to five different friends from now until the end of the promotion period.

Note: Refer-a-Friend requires both parties to have an active Epic Games account. The promotion period runs from 25th October - 14th November.

To Refer a Friend, start up Fortnite on whatever your gaming platform and log in to the title. Then bring up your laptop or tablet and log in to the Refer a Friend website and pull up your Epic Games friends list.

Once logged in to the Refer-a-Friend website, gamers who have played at least 120 minutes of Fortnite (i.e., Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads) in the last 30 days can invite up to five friends. Once that friend downloads Fortnite and logs in, both parties will be able to complete in-game tasks to earn rewards.

Tasks include playing a game of Fortnite together, earning eliminations in Battle Royale, levelling up Fortnite accounts, and more. Do note that players who participate in the program as a referrer will not be able to participate as a referee, and vice versa.

Gamers will earn points for completing tasks until specific thresholds are met, at which point, the referrer and/or referee will receive the designated reward for that respective level. By completing the final challenge, which requires referrers and referees to level up their Fortnite accounts by 60 career levels, gamers will unlock the Rainbow Racer Outfit.
