How To Get The Nanner Buddy Back Bling In Fortnite

Epic Games is no stranger to offering free cosmetics and rewards to Fortnite players through a variety of means. In this year's summer event, known as Summer Escape, players stand to earn a selection of free, themed cosmetics. These range from items like the Toasted Coconut Emote to the Bugsy Glider, but there's one adorable cosmetic that players are itching to get their hands on — Nanner Buddy Back Bling.

This very cute Back Bling takes on the appearance of a small banana, complete with arms, legs and button-like eyes. Across its torso is a blue patch which reads, "nana nana." This Back Bling also comes in two variants: a yellow Nanner Buddy and a red Tropical Style. But while most of the Summer Escape cosmetics seem easy enough to get hold of, players are wondering what they need to do to add Nanner Buddy to their collection.

How To Get The Nanner Buddy Back Bling In Fortnite

In what might come as disappointing news for a lot of Fortnite players, the Nanner Buddy Back Bling can't be earned from completing Summer Escape quests like the majority of these new cosmetics. In fact, Nanner Buddy is a reward that's exclusive to Fortnite Crew subscribers.

All Fortnite Crew subscribers who log into Fortnite anytime during Summer Escape (July 4 at 9 a.m. ET to July 18 at 9 a.m. ET) will receivethe Nanner Buddy Back Bling and its Tropical style, inspired by a concept from Fortnite community member D3nni. All active Fortnite Crew subscribers will be granted the Nanner Buddy Back Bling immediately after logging in during Summer Escape. 

Sadly, this means that there's no way to earn the Nanner Buddy Back Bling without subscribing to Fortnite Crew. There are incentivies to joining Fortnite Crew, however. Each subscriber gains access to monthly Crew Packs, which always contain a new Outfit plus at least one matching accessory like a Pickaxe, Glider, Wrap, or Emote. All Crew Pack items are exclusive to Fortnite Crew members. In addition, subscibers also get 1,000 V-Bucks for every month they remain subscribed alongside instant access to the season's Battle Pass. If you had already purchased the current season’s Battle Pass before subscribing then you'll get a one-time 950 V-Bucks refund.
