Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: Best Landing Spots
As mentioned, the latest season of Fortnite brings various changes to the Island, including new Points of Interest (POIs) and a new biome inspired by cyberpunk and Japanese themes. As a result, the recent map changes will directly impact the metagame, including which locations players will deem the best to land for the current season.
With the Faulty Splits POI decommissioned for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, a new POI takes its place, which could overtake the widely popular Tilted Towers as the best landing spot in-game. So, let's look at all the best landing spots that you can use this season:
- MEGA City: Replacing the Faulty Splits POI for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, this cyberpunk metropolis will be widely overcrowded for many reasons. Aside from the large quantity of loot, players will be clamoring to get the Havoc Suppressed AR from the NPC boss, Highcard, who can be located in MEGA City.
- Knotty Nets: Another new POI introduced in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will play host to plenty of chests and loot found in this quaint fishing village. As such, players will drop in this location to get a weapon, Bandages, and Shield Potions early in the game.
- Steamy Springs: This new POI, like Knotty Nets, will have plenty of chests and loot to pick up, which makes it an excellent early-game location. Steamy Springs is a potentially good landing spot because it provides much-needed coverage from firefights. Should things get too crowded, a nearby river will give you a quick escape to MEGA City or Kenjutsu Crossing.
- Brutal Bastion: Away from the bright neon lights of MEGA City, Brutal Bastion was a favorite in Season 1, and it's poised to continue that momentum in the new season. This fortified stronghold has plenty of coverage which can be great for players to avoid intense encounters while you're raiding chests, and there's no NPC Boss, which is a massive bonus.
Other worth considerations are: the castle west of The Citadel, Slappy Shores, and Kenjutsu Crossing, which have plenty of loot and buildings. In the case of Slappy Shores, there are also a few vehicles available for a quick escape. The addition of ziplines can also be utilized to gain higher ground over enemies and avoid conflict by traveling to the next location.
And that's everything you need to know about the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. While you're here, check out the official cinematic trailer for the latest gameplay update below!
