The Genshin Impact 2.7 Update Livestream introduced two new weapons, both bows, to the game for Travelers to work towards acquiring. One of these weapons is the 5-star bow, Aqua Simulacra, which HoYoverse said will be available via its Gacha system, the Epitome Invocation banner event.
As the assigned weapon for the latest playable character, Yelan, the Aqua Simulacra can be included either in Burst or main DPS Hydro builds. This guide details everything we know about Aqua Simulacra, including how to get it, its stats and abilities, ascension materials, and loads more.
What is the Aqua Simulacra weapon in Genshin Impact?
The Aqua Simulacra is the latest weapon arriving in Genshin Impact in the 2.7 update, entitled, Hidden Dreams in the Depths. According to the 2.7 Preview Page, this weapon is described as being "unpredictable"; however, its appearance, when "under the light," takes on a "lustrous, watery blue" color.
The weapon's design is based on the Hydro vision, which is highlighted through its "watery blue" color, the usage of feathers, and its flowing wave style.
While there isn't much lore surrounding the weapon as of writing, it vaguely resembles a recurve bow, meaning that arrows will be granted higher energy and speed when fired.
What are Aqua Simulacra's weapon stats and abilities?
- Rarity: 5-star
- ATK Stat: 44-542
- Secondary Stat: 19.2% - 88.2% CRIT DMG
As mentioned earlier, the Aqua Simulacra is a 5-star weapon, the signature weapon for the 2.7 update's latest playable character, Yelan. This bow has the potential of being one of the game's most versatile weapons alongside the Skyward Harp, depending on its stats and passive ability.

This weapon, best utilized for Yelan as a Burst DPS, allows her to use her Elemental Burst as the primary source of damage off-field or as a main DPS, to enhance her Hydro DMG, her max HP.
Additionally, with Crit DMG as her main stats, the weapon allows Yelan to scale efficiently with her HP rather than ATK.

In terms of the weapon's refinement levels, it gains a maximum of 20% DMG bonus between levels 1 and 5, which is theoretically at least a 4-5% DMG bonus on average. While this will be insignificant to other Hydro bow wielders, this stat works perfectly for Yelan alone, meaning Travelers will have to wish for Yelan to equip the bow for her if they want to use it.
As such, the weapon's passive ability, The Cleansing Form, will boost HP by 16%, for which the damage dealt by this weapon will be significantly increased. Furthermore, this effect can occur whether the wielder is on or off-field.
