Genshin Impact v1.6 Dodoco Tales: How to get and upgrade

After a few months in the making and many teasers revealed, the next version of Genshin Impact is now on its way, along with the addition of Kazuha, an Anemo sword character, and tons of new events and challenges as part of the Midsummer Island Adventure.

Some of the best ones will come with three new weapons, although one, in particular, has brought many alarms for players and fans of the game, as the signature Catalyst of the pyromaniac bomb expert, Klee, will finally make its appearance in Teyvat, the Dodoco Tales.

Dodoco Tales: Backstory and Stats

The Dodoco Tales are a four-star Catalyst based mostly on ATK stats. With this, all Normal Attacks hit on opponents increase Charged Attack DMG by 16%-32% for six seconds, while Charged Attacks hit on opponents also increase ATK by 8%-16% for six seconds.

Its name comes from the sound made by the Dodos, a kind of cute but mischievous creatures found on distant islands from a recently introduced archipelago, and who use it to call each other.

Due to these stats and its connection with the fan-favourite Klee, it is very likely this will become one of the most foresought items in the entire game, as the Catalyst-users depend on Charged Attacks more than anything.

Dodoco Tales: How to obtain and Ascension materials

Thanks to everything that was revealed during the Version 1.6 Showcase, it is known that Dodoco Tales will be available for free as part of the rewards of the Midsummer Island Adventure challenges, in exchange for Shiny Flotsams or Mini “Harpastums”.

Thus the only thing you will have to worry about will be to upgrade it to the max, so you can explore its potential at its best. The necessary Ascension materials to level it up will be as follows:

• 1st Ascension: 3 Boreal Wolf's Milk Tooth, 3 Dead Ley Line Branch, 2 Damaged Mask, and 5,000 Mora

• 2nd Ascension: 3 Boreal Wolf's Cracked Tooth, 12 Dead Ley Line Branch, 8 Damaged Mask, and 15,000 Mora

• 3rd Ascension: 6 Boreal Wolf's Cracked Tooth, 6 Dead Ley Line Leaves, 6 Stained Mask, and 20,000 Mora

• 4th Ascension: 3 Boreal Wolf's Broken Fang, 12 Dead Ley Line Leaves, 9 Stained Mask, and 30,000 Mora

• 5th Ascension: 6 Boreal Wolf's Broken Fang, 9 Ley Line Sprout, 6 Ominous Mask, and 35,000 Mora

• 6th Ascension: 4 Boreal Wolf's Nostalgia, 18 Ley Line Sprout, 12 Ominous Mask, and 45,000 Mora
