Hades 2 Weapons Tier List: Best Weapons To Pick

Hades 2 features five distinct weapons, each offering unique attack styles and varying damage outputs. You begin your journey with the Witch's Staff, while the other weapons become available along the way through crafting.

While the default weapon is enough for the early stages of the game, as the difficulty level increases, you need to equip stronger ones. Thus, we have ranked all the weapons in  Hades 2 from best to worst in this tier list.

Best Weapons In Hades 2 — Tier List

S Tier

Argent Skull

The Argent Skull can deal heavy explosive damage to enemies around you through skulls. However, like reloading a gun, you need to pick skulls from the ground to use it after you have launched three of them and you can use its dash to help you in this task. However, keep in mind that it is one of the hardest weapons to unlock and you need to progress a lot and collect one Bronze and two Glassrock to craft it. 

A Tier

Sister Blades

Sister Blades are ideal for both beginners and experts, as they are easier to craft and they also let you perform quick, massive damage attacks. Apart from this, you can also use its special to throw a dagger at the enemy dealing mid-range damage. However, since you will be fighting mostly in close range, you will be at high risk and need to learn to dodge quickly. 

Witch's Staff

Witch's Staff is the first weapon that you get in Hades 2 but is still one of the strongest in the game. It is extremely beginner-friendly and effective at close and mid-range. However, once you reach the later stages and face stronger enemies, it starts getting less effective because of its low damage.

B Tier

Umbral Flames

One of the main advantages of using Umbral Flames is that you can deal damage in the long range. Not only this, its special ability will spawn an orb revolving around you that will deal damage to enemies while they try to attack you. However, for players who enjoy fast-paced action, this is not what they will like as you will not be able to do quick attacks and your movement while casting it will also be a bit slow.

C Tier

Moonstone Axe

While Moonstone Axe can deal devastating damage to multiple enemies through its sweeping attack, its slow-paced nature can make it a tricky weapon to use. You will have to time your attacks and if you are in a fast-paced battle, which is the nature of Hades 2 gameplay, it is Moonstone Axe is not a desirable weapon of choice. 

While this tier list ranks weapons from best to worst, you are encouraged to use the ones that you are comfortable with. That said, exploring new options might give you a new favorite character. Also, keep in mind that this tier list is based on our opinion, and yours can be completely different from it.
