Should You Pull Guinaifen In Honkai Star Rail?

This is our guide on whether or not to pull Guinaifen in Honkai Star Rail!
Should You Pull Guinaifen In Honkai Star Rail?

Guinaifen is a four-star Fire Element Nihility Path character that will be coming to Honkai Star Rail in patch 1.4. As a powerful damage dealer, players are ready to drop their hoard of Stellar Jade and Star Rail Special Passes in order to pull her.

However, before you start pulling for Guinaifen, you may want to consider a few things before you dump your entire currency savings on her banner. That's where we come in. This article will cover what you need to know before pulling Guinaifen in Honkai Star Rail.

Should You Pull Guinaifen In Honkai Star Rail

You should pull Guinaifen if you lack a Fire Element damage dealer, and have the means to support a DoT team. First and foremost, players should be encouraged to pull for any characters they want in Honkai Star Rail. If having Guinaifen on your account will increase your enjoyment while playing the game, that should take priority over following a tier list. This is especially so, considering Honkai Star Rail is a PVE game, meaning players don't have to keep up with a competitive metagame.

That being said, if you want to maximize your resources, here are a few things to consider before pulling Guinaifen

Guinaifen is Fire Element

At the time of writing this, Fire Element damage dealers are few and far between with Hook taking up a decent spot in the four-star category, while Himeko is arguably the worst five-star character in the game. Guinaifen may arrive on Topaz's banner, allowing players to double up on their Fire DPS characters!

Guinaifen is a DoT Character

Everyone succeeded in pulling E2 Kafka, right? Guinaifen is a DoT character, meaning she will likely require some support to deal tons of damage as opposed to a generically good damage dealer like Seele. If you have the right supporting characters to help Guinaifen reach her full potential, she could be a great asset to any account.

Four-Star Characters Do Not Have Pity

Unlike five-star characters, there is no guarantee that pulling on a banner will grant you even a single copy of Guinaifen. While it is very likely to acquire a copy, there is no pity at 90 or 180 pulls like with a five-star character. Additionally, Guinaifen will share the rate-up with two other four-star characters, meaning players will need to get extremely lucky to acquire her on the banner. Players should keep this in mind before going too deep into the banner.

And that's everything you need to know about whether or not to pull Guinaifen!
