One of the biggest reasons to try to get this achievement is none other than the Victorious skin, a yearly tradition Riot has implemented since Season 1, where they give players an exclusive style for a featured champion, if they manage to get to Gold or beyond before the season ends.
Some of these champions include Orianna, Graves, and more recently Lucian, as they were chosen based on their performance and impact within the game during an entire competitive season, and this time, one of League’s original champions is set to be the bearer of the next Victorious skin.
As announced by Riot Games and teased a day prior, fooling the entire community by making them think it was for Annie, the 2021 Victorious skin has been confirmed to be for Blitzcrank, the Great Steam Golem.
By looking at the splash art shared by Riot today, this new unique skin for the enormous, near-indestructible automaton from Zaun features the distinguishable gold tones for every Victorious skin, along with a more refined and clean look for much of its body, while we can also notice a heroic action of the golem, after saving a little plushie from Zaun’s wasteland.
Blitzcrank’s selection as the next Victorious champion is not a surprise, as this champion has dominated the Rift since its release both as a support and a tank, always being among the most picked or banned champions in League of Legends to date, and sitting among the top tiers on sites like OP.GG and Mobalytics.
This year’s Victorious skin will also come with a chroma for players to collect, depending on which rank they reached in both solo and flex queues, together with an exclusive icon.
Victorious Blitzcrank skin will be available on League’s live servers with patch 11.22, this 3rd November, while the end-of-season date hasn’t been confirmed at the moment.
