Lost Ark 24 August Patch Notes - Maharaka Festival, Pet Ranch, Bug Fixes

The adventurers of Arkesia have some great news coming for the month of August as the developers over at Smilegate are releasing the August Update for Lost Ark called "Under the Arkesian Sun." This new update comes with tons of new features, quality of life updates, events, and much more.

Lost Ark 24th August Patch Notes - Maharaka Festival, Pet Ranch, Bug Fixes and More

The August "Under the Arkesian Sun'' Update will be available in Arkesia on the 24th August, with a 4-hour downtime beginning at 7 am GMT (7 am UTC). Players are invited to celebrate the summer in Lost Ark by participating in new activities at the ongoing Maharaka festival, as well as with their pets at the all-new Pet Ranch.

Under the Arkesian Sun also brings back Event Guardians, new cosmetics, and more. We have broken down everything you need to know from the official developer patch notes below. 

Lost Ark Patch Notes - Event Guardians

The Event Guardians have now returned to Arkesia, offering players a chance to enjoy a fun new take on Guardian Raids, in which you'll hunt down three Guardians (alone or with a group) in an arena with the Scale of Balance in effect. To enter, you must have a Combat Level of 50 or higher and an Item Level of 250 or higher. 

Taking down the Event Guardian will cause it to drop buffs that stack up to three times at maximum. And the buffs will massively increase your damage output. 

Tokens will drop in a rewards chest after defeating all three Guardians and can be claimed once per day per character. Tokens earned from Event Guardians can be spent at an event vendor, which offers a variety of valuable rewards each week.

Lost Ark Patch Notes - Pet Ranch

The Pet Ranch is a new area in the Stronghold where Pets can play, grow into more useful companions, and assist you in earning valuable rewards. Pets assisting adventurers across Arkesia are ready to help their worthy leaders even more by baking Jam Cookies and earning Pet Expertise to level up and unlock new abilities.

Pets can be upgraded to Legendary by achieving the maximum level of Pet Expertise and spending Pet Growth Tokens, which can be obtained by exchanging Jam Cookies. Several features become available once a Pet is upgraded to Legendary. 

Legendary Pets are given a (random) powerful skill, and one of the three effects granted by the skill will be applied to you while in combat at random intervals. There are currently six Pet Skills that can be unlocked and switched between at random.

Lastly, in the Pet Ranch Lost Ark Academy, you can learn more about the Pet Ranch, Legendary Pets, and the rewards you can earn. 

Lost Ark Patch Notes - Maharaka Festival & Blooming Mokokos

The Maharaka Tree's leaves are said to bring good luck to Maharaka Paradise. During the Maharaka Festival, players will be tasked to collect as many as they can and exchange them for valuable rewards. 

The ongoing Maharaka festival will also add a new activity this month: Blooming Mokokos. Every other hour in Maharaka Paradise, you can get Gold by finding blooming Mokokos and the more Mokokos you come across, the better your chances of getting that sweet Gold. 

Lost Ark Patch Notes - Wingsuit Armor and Neon Weapon Skins (All are Available Until the 28th September)

New armor and weapon skins, the Shiba Inu Pet and Special Package, mounts, and stronghold decorations are all part of the Under the Arkesian Sun Update.

Lost Ark Patch Notes - General Updates

• Re-enabled Powerpasses that were previously available in the store. Until 7th September, a 25% discount will be available on Powerpasses. If the account's highest Item Level is updated due to a purchased Powerpass, the account will have the following restrictions applied for 72 hours:

  • Cannot receive Gold billing mail

  • Cannot send a mail with gold attached

  • Cannot send a mail with items attached

  • Cannot send currency during 1:1 trade

  • Cannot offer items during 1:1 trade

  • Cannot purchase or register items on the market.

  • Cannot purchase, bid, or register items on the Auction House

  • Cannot participate in a loot auction

  • Cannot purchase Crystals

• Raised the purchase limit of the Growth Support Packs from 1 to 3 per roster.

• Refreshed Special Card Packages, Growth Support Packs, and other monthly resets.

• Added a new daily log-in reward track.

• Gold earned from Una's Tokens no longer arrives in the form of coins.

Lost Ark Patch Notes - Notable Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue that prevented new accounts from accessing Global Chat.

• Fixed an issue that caused the chat mode indicator to not reflect the correct color of the respective chat.

• Fixed an issue that prevented the suggested content panel from appearing as a press-able button in the Express Event menu.

• Fixed an issue that prevented some objects from moving as expected in the "Tortoyk's Heart" dungeon.

• Fixed an issue that caused the supplementary Founders Pack skins to be character bound instead of Roster bound.

• Fixed an issue that caused the Inferno Legion Raid achievements to not appear in the Legion Raid section.

• Fixed an issue that caused the incorrect icon to be shown for a Warrior hairstyle.

• Fixed an issue that caused the speech bubble shown above an NPC in South Vern to disappear too quickly.

• Fixed an issue that caused expiration date and time to be displayed incorrectly on various items.

• Fixed a variety of localization issues.
