Lost Ark is the new open-world MMORPG developed by Smilegate and published by Amazon Games. This action RPG offers a plethora of classes to ensure the game offers variety.

There are five base classes, but every player must choose an advanced class, so this tier list will cover the advanced classes. There are currently 16 advanced classes that players can choose from, and more are expected to be added in the future.

S-Tier Classes

The S-tier classes are those that are incredibly versatile and can excel while being used by any player.

Paladin

Paladins are a great support class that does solid damage as well as protects the party and debuff. They have two countermoves and can do a bit of healing on top of all that.

Gunlancer

The Gunlancer is considerably the best tank in the game and does amazing damage on top of that. Gunlancers can taunt and counter while shielding their comrades as they dish out damage and debuff bosses.

Bard

Bards excel as one of the best support classes in Lost Ark.

Bards are excellent for area-of-effect damage, along with providing superior buffs. Although they don’t handle a lot of damage and have low defense, they offer better healing than several other support classes.

A-Tier Classes

The A-tier classes are great but may require a little more skill to bring out their full potential.

Gunslinger

An incredibly versatile class, the Gunslinger is a high damage DPS that can be useful close-range, mid-range, and long-range. It can be a challenge to learn the Gunslinger playstyle, but it offers a lot for those who master her moves.

Berserker

The berserker has the highest damage of the warrior classes, but it also comes with the lowest defense of the warriors. This makes the class great for DPS, but not the most ideal tank.

Artillerist

With the right skills, an Artillerist can do high damage, but they’re a slower class than others.

For the best long-ranged damage in the gunner classes, the Artillerist is the route to go. Artillerists have high defence, but can be a little slow with their shots.

Sorceress

If you’re looking for AoE damage, then the Sorceress might be the class for you.

The sorceress is a well-rounded class that is easy for players to pick. They have plenty of spells for AoE and single target damage. Although easy to play, mastering this class can take a little more finesse.

Glaivier

The newest class to be added to Lost Ark, the Glaivier comes with a unique play style. The Glaivier abilities require switching between Focus and Flurry stances that can be difficult to master.

B-Tier Classes

The B-tier classes have good abilities but are difficult to master, which can lead to lower performance.

Sharpshooter

A Sharpshooter is strictly a long-range class that can be a bit of a hindrance as many of the bosses require a portion of close-range combat. The Sharpshooter’s most powerful abilities require being stationary, which can be a big disadvantage.

Wardancer

The Wardancer isn’t difficult to learn, but hard to maximise on the abilities.

A great class for high damage and easier playability, the Wardancer can be picked up and mastered pretty easily. The Wardancer has a few buffs to improve crit rate and attack speed, but this class lacks compared to others when placed in a group.

Shadow Hunter

The Shadow Hunter class is an easy class to pick up and play, but to get the most out of it, players will have to ensure their build is precise. The Shadow Hunter has a demon form that can be strengthened with the right build.

Striker

The Striker is a fast mover, so players will have to time their skills from the right positions.

Striker is a martial arts class that has a lot of aerial attacks and is quick to the punch. This class requires making all the proper steps to execute the best combos, which can make it a more difficult class for beginners.

Scrapper

The Scrapper is a well-rounded character with decent attributes all around; however, that means the Scrapper doesn’t excel over other classes.

Deathblade

A great choice for new players in the Deathblade. The class is easy to learn with straightforward abilities and scales well as you level up. The Deathblade doesn’t quite compare in damage to other classes, but it’s a fun beginner class for learning the game.

C-Tier Classes

The classes that fall under the C-Tier are the most difficult to master and provide the least aid when in parties.

Deadeye

The Deadeye is a ranged class that relies on being in the melee range to take advantage of most abilities. Considered one of the hardest classes to learn, this class can take a long time to master and might lead to more frustration than other classes.

Soulfist

The Soulfist has one of the strongest abilities in the game, the Soul Bomb, but it takes 5 seconds to charge up, which makes it hard to always hit your target. Players can switch between melee and ranged playstyles.
