Marvel’s Avengers Winter Soldier Release Date, Gameplay & More

With the arrival of the November 2022 Marvel's Avengers Developer Update Blog, fans were pleased to see that, along with tons of new content and gameplay improvements, Winter Soldier's release date has officially been confirmed.

James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes himself will become a playable character and is said to have a very versatile kit that allows for both "ranged marksman" builds, "expert hand-to-hand combatant" builds, and "deadly super-soldier assassin" builds. Marvel's Avengers Winter Soldier Release Date

Marvel's Avengers Winter Soldier release date is confirmed to be 29 November 2022. Winter Soldier will be arriving alongside the upcoming 2.7 Update that will also add the Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat.

Scott Porter is joining the development team as the Avengers cast continues to expand and is responsible for not only Winter Soldier's addition to Marvel's Avengers but is leading the charge on the upcoming Winter Soldier motion comic. 

Marvel's Avengers Winter Soldier Gameplay

Winter Soldier is described as an offensive jack-of-all-trades. The development team stated that Winter Soldier will be a purely assault-focused hero, capable of dealing massive damage to enemies in a variety of ways. Additionally, Winter Soldier's aforementioned versatility will likely give players a lot of freedom when building him.

The developers went on to state, "players will find multiple different builds and playstyles that embody that character fantasy." Whether you enjoy playing with ranged, melee, or assassin-type Heroes, Winter Soldier can seemingly do it all!

Winter Soldier's move set is said to be both a combination of Captain America's and Black Widow's, while at the same time entirely unique (making full use of his cybernetic enhancements). Players can also find all new animations, a new full skill tree, and heroic abilities when entering a mission as Winter Soldier. 

Winter Soldier will also launch with his own heroic mission chain. Players who complete this will be rewarded with Bucky's iconic outfit.
