Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix, is out now on PC and consoles. The game gives players across the globe the opportunity to jump into the jet boots of Star-Lord, aka Peter Quill. Players hoping that the game is filled with content will likely not be disappointed, judging by the story length of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. If you want to know how long it would take the beat the game, then we've got you covered with an average campaign length and more.
How long to beat Guardians of the Galaxy?
Without diving into spoilers, there are a total of 16 story chapters in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
While the chapters vary in length a bit, we can confirm thanks to multiple reviews that the average time to beat Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is roughly 16 to 17 hours.
Keep in mind that this is the average for normal difficulty. Players can complete the game faster on easy difficulty, and hard difficulty should take a bit longer.
There are also collectables and a few pieces of content that could extend the experience further. For completionists, we expect the game to take roughly 25 hours if they head into side areas to find, for example, a customer for Groot or Drax.
As always, a game's length also depends on individual player skill and how many achievements they attempt to unlock via various gameplay elements/challenges.
Due to several choices and consequences throughout the game's campaign, there is a lot of replay value. That's a good reason to replay Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy via the New Game+ mode. The New Game+ mode will feature "stronger enemies in more intense combat scenarios" which should translate into a longer second playthrough.
