Mortal Kombat 1 Fatalities: The Confirmed List Of Finishers
Summer Game Fest Update - The new Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay Trailer has dropped and we get a few sneak peaks at some more fatalities.

From what we spotted (we need another watch) we could see fatalites for Sub-Zero, Raiden, Scorpion, Kano, Kenshi and Kung Lao. Give it a watch!

[Original Story Follows] - A brand new Mortal Kombat is on the way. On May 18, NetherRealm dropped the first announcement trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, which is set to reboot the series and take place in the New Era timeline created by Liu Kang, now a Fire God, after the events of Mortal Kombat 11.

Outside of the new trailer, very little has been revealed surrounding the game's story. In the trailer, characters make reference to an end of peace in this new universe, leaning to "a war with a god." The iconic franchise is being rebooted with what NetherRealm is calling a new fighting system, containing new game modes and, of course, new Fatalities. Thanks to the trailer, we've been given a small glimpse at the potential, and disgusting, Fatalities that players will be able to pull off.

Here are all of the Fatalities which we've been able to identify so far.

All Mortal Kombat 1 Fatalities Revealed So Far

Lui Kang Fatality

Our mysterious Fire God could be behind one of the most brutal Fatalities we've seen in long time. While not confirmed, the end of the announcement trailer shows Lui Kang summon a stream of red and blue flame dragons from his arms to suspend Shang Tsung in the air. After a brief pause, Lui Kang launches into the air behind Shang Tsung only to grab his head, pushing it into the rest of his body and splitting him down the middle. Charming.

While this hasn't been confirmed as an in-game Fatality just yet, the announcement trailer shares some common features with Mortal Kombat 11's trailer back in 2019. In which, the end of the trailer shows Scorpion pulling off one of his in-game Fatalities that not only slices an enemy down to their spine, but then cuts off their head before throwing his iconic chain through their mouth.

Shang Tsung Fatality

The trailer seems to reveal a few potential Fatalities in Shang Tsung's kit, though the clips of these are quite brief. We see him crush an enemy's face under his foot, resembling imagery of squashed watermelon. We also see him gouge out the eyes Kitana, and slice the throat of Scorpion before ramming his blades through his face. It's unclear if these are full Fatalities or Brutalities at this stage.

Perhaps the most interesting attack of his shown during the trailer is his ability to summon a green, spectral mist that drains the life out of an enemy, reducing them to nothing but a husk. All this before slamming what's left of the body into the ground, forming a bloody, squishy mess.

We'll continue to update this list with more Fatalities as they're revealed in the run-up to release, so be sure to check back.
