Mortal Kombat 1 has been officially revealed, and it looks to be a reboot of the beloved fighting game franchise.
The trailer revealed some absolutely brutal fatalities, including a man karate-chopping another man in half, while also revealing that the game will only be coming to next-generation systems in addition to Switch. It's likely that the Switch version of the game is a cloud-based title.
The game will release on September 19th later this year, with early access starting September 14th for people who pre-order the title. People who pre-order the game will also receive Shang Tsung as a playable character. The official website for the title states that it will have an immersive story campaign in which you 'fight through a brand new story featuring your favorite Mortal Kombat characters as you've never seen them before' and will also feature Kameo Fighters, which are described as 'a roster of Kameo fighting partners to assist you in battle'.
