Mortal Kombat: Onslaught Early Access

In early November 2022, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught's Early Access edition leaked on the Google Play Store. Thousands of people were able to download the game and take a sneak peek at the game's content, including its characters, gameplay, story, and more.

The opening cinematic shows Sub-Zero fighting with Sindel, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Noob Saibot, Scorpion, and Shao Kahn. Those who are familiar with the Mortal Kombat franchise will likely not be surprised by this cinematic, as the game starts off on a similar note to its predecessors. This makes sense, considering developers said they wanted to take what fans love about Mortal Kombat and put their own spin on it.

Following the Mortal Kombat: Onslaught leaks this week, we're likely to hear more about the game from both developers and fans soon.

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught Release Date Window & Speculation

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught does not have a set release date but will release sometime in 2023, according to developers.

We can't be sure of when that will be, but because an official release date has yet to be released, we can assume it will be ready for players to enjoy toward the middle or end of next year.

The Eary Access edition of the game leaked on the Google Play Store in late 2022.

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught Gameplay

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught will feature a "cinematic story" - the first on mobile, developers say - in which players will fight in real-time group battles.

You'll get to interact with some of your favorite existing Mortal Kombat characters, creating a strong party to combat any foe.

The game will feature traditional role-playing elements, offering a slight twist on the usual Mortal Kombat approach.

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught comes after the release of Mortal Kombat Mobile, NetherRealm's original 2015 Mortal Kombat mobile game, which found great success on both iOS and Android.

At the time of writing NetherRealm has not released a debut trailer for the game.

With a release date planned for 2023, we imagine the first possible event we could see a trailer for the game will be during The Game Awards 2022 show, later this year.

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught will only be available to play on mobile platforms. The game will be available on both iOS and Android.

Players will not be able to enjoy this installation of Mortal Kombat on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, or any other device aside from their mobile phone.
