Mortal Kombat 11 will receive even more DLC in a third Kombat Pack, a new leak has claimed.

It was unclear in what capacity NetherRealm Studios (if at all) would continue to support Mortal Kombat 11 following latest DLC drop Aftermath, but it seems a bunch of new characters could still be coming to the title.

According to a post on Reddit claimed to be from someone who works at NetherRealm Studios, the developer is planning a Kombat Pack 3 which will include four new characters.

It’s claimed three of these new characters will be male and from the Mortal Kombat franchise, while the fourth character is a female guest character.

One of the MK characters specifically is described as “an unfortunate bystander” - with some believing it could allude to Ermac who makes a brief cameo impaled on a spike in Mortal Kombat 11’s Krypt mode.

The post also “de-confirms” rumours which suggested John Wick, Doom Slayer, Deathstroke or Michael Myers would appear in the game.

Interestingly, it also claims the next game from the studio wouldn’t be Injustice 3, possibly adding further credence to the rumour of a Marvel title from the studio.

The moderator on the Reddit post has confirmed he’s seen an image of the leaked characters in question from the original poster, although it’s still worth taking these leaks with a pinch of salt - especially as an image can still be faked.

Perhaps the most questionable part of the leak is the suggestion that Mileena, a long requested character by fans who made a teasing appearance in Kitana’s Friendship, was the subject of “internal discussions” in the studio to feature - which sounds more like fan trolling.

Considering Aftermath felt refreshing in the way it dropped numerous characters at once, it feels odd NRS would revert back to the Kombat Pack model - even if some people criticised the high price of the latest DLC drop.

Mortal Kombat 11 has already received a huge wealth of DLC characters, including Spawn, The Terminator, The Joker, Nightwolf, Sindel and Shang Tsung.

Aftermath’s expansion added Robocop, Sheeva and Fujin to the roster, along with Friendships, stage fatalities and more.
