NetherRealm has announced the future of Mortal Kombat 11 will be announced on Thursday with a new character teaser.
Mortal Kombat 11 announcement happening Thursday - could it be Rambo?

An announcement for Mortal Kombat 11’s future will happen Thursday 8th October, NetherRealm has confirmed.

After co-creator Ed Boon stated more news for Mortal Kombat 11 would arrive this week, he’s now confirmed a date for your calendars - namely Thursday 8th October at 8am CDT/2pm BST.

Ed also posted a teaser clip, asking: “Who is chasing that Tarkatan?”

A dataminer recently discovered files relating to the possible addition of Rambo, and considering the forest terrain Tarkartan is in, it certainly looks possible.

This would also fit with recent DLC characters which have all been 80s action heroes, ranging from The Terminator to Robocop

Interestingly, the same datamined files also uncovered files relating to Mileena and Rain returning to the fray - which would answer many diehard fans incessant requests.

It’s unclear if this will come bundled with story DLC too like Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, which released in May this year.

One of the big questions might be around pricing, especially as Aftermath only released this year and came with a hefty £32.99 price tag to some backlash.

When will Mortal Kombat 11’s new DLC be announced?

Mortal Kombat 11’s next batch of DLC will be announced on Thursday 8th October at the below times depending on your region.

  • UK - 2pm BST
  • Europe - 3pm CEST
  • West Coast US - 6am PT
  • East Coast US - 9am ET

The announcement will likely debut on Mortal Kombat’s Twitter.
