Many people who have tried out the hero shooter for the first time may have discovered that they are playing on the wrong servers against and/or with players whose languages they are unfamiliar with. As well as having the disadvantage of having a significantly higher latency.

Players must be in the right server region when playing Overwatch 2 because, like its predecessor, winning games depends on teamwork and strong communication.

To that end, below you can find the relatively easy-to-follow steps to change your server region in Overwatch 2:

  • On your computer, start the Battle.net Client.
  • At the top, select All Games, and then select Overwatch 2.
  • A blue PLAY button can be found in the bottom left corner.
  • Select Overwatch 2 by clicking on the globe icon next to it.
  • The continents of the Americas, Asia, and Europe will be visible.
  • Choose the server that may have a lower server load based on the peak times.
  • After that, click PLAY to see if there are any fewer players in line ahead of you.

The region choices you have in Overwatch 2 are the Americas, which are for players in North America, Latin America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. Europe is for players in the European Union, Eastern Europe, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East, and finally, Asia is for players in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

One good reason to consider switching regions in the shooter is to avoid the excruciatingly long line times. Since day one, the shooter's servers have been overloaded, and the American servers in particular have displayed wait times that extend as far as position #9000 in the line.
