How to get Bastion’s Countdown Cup Legendary skin for free

Blizzard has been pumping out a ton of rewards for players that catch the live broadcasts of the Overwatch League, including legendary skins based on each of its monthly tournaments.

Now, to celebrate the Countdown Cup, the fourth major tournament of the Overwatch League 2021 Season, the powerful stationary machine Bastion has received a legendary skin, available for free within its in-game section.

Pirate Ship Bastion skin: Backstory and design

Prior to the start of the Countdown Cup, the Overwatch team decided to release a legendary skin based on one of the most famous strategies in the game, making tribute to a specific team composition where Bastion sits on the payload while the rest of the team protects him, called ‘pirate ship.’

Its nautical theme is represented by lots of details including a pirate flag and hat, anchors, a marine steering wheel, and even a friendly parrto, making it a perfect aspect for those moments when you pick Bastion for payload maps.

Bastion’s new skin will join the previously released legendaries for Mercy, Widowmaker, and Ana, being part of a collection that commemorates each of the tournaments of the 2021 Overwatch League calendar.

Pirate Ship Bastion skin: How to get it

Getting this new skin for free is pretty simple, but first of all, you have to make sure you have linked your YouTube to your Blizzard account since Bastion’s skin will only be available after watching the Countdown Cup live from the Overwatch League's YouTube channel.

In case you have not done so yet, you will have to access this website, which will take you to the YouTube account linking site.

Here, you just have to click on the 'Connect' button, to the left of the Battle.net section, and log in with your Blizzard account. Once you confirm everything, your accounts will be linked and you will be able to receive rewards.

You will receive five League Tokens for every hour you watch Overwatch League matches and the Countdown Cup live. In order to redeem the Pirate Ship Bastion skin, you will have to collect 200 League Tokens.

The skin can be found for purchase in the Overwatch League section of the game’s main menu, so don't hesitate, as it will be available until 30th August.
