PS Plus March 2024 'Free' Games: Release Times, Leaks And More

PlayStation Plus Free Games are released as part of 'PS Plus Essential', which is the name given to the basic tier of Sony's PS Plus subscription service which has existed for many years. The 'Essential' tier gives you a few ‘free’ games every month on top of the normal benefits like Online Multiplayer and occasional store discounts. Normally this includes three games available on PS4, two of which are (usually) optimised for PS5. It goes without saying that anyone who subscribes to the more costly version of PlayStation Plus, known as 'PS Plus Extra' and 'PS Plus Premium', will also have access to these free games when they become available. But generally speaking, most players can get by with the basic PlayStation Plus Essential subscription.

What Are the Next Free PS Plus Games?

NOTE - The PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for March 2024 has not yet been revealed and as of 27 February. We'll be sure up update this section once we have more info.

The next selection of PlayStation Plus games for March 2024 has been announced and includes:

• Sifu - PS5, PS4
• Destiny 2: The Witch Queen - PS5, PS4
• F1 23 - PS5, PS4
• Hello Neighbor 2 - PS5, PS4

All four games will be available March 5 to April 1.

What Are The Free PS Plus Games Right Now?

At the time of writing PS Plus Essential subscribers can download the following games on their PS4 or PS5 console:

• Foamstars | PS4, PS5
• Rollerdrome | PS4, PS5 
• Steelrising | PS5
• Fall Guys Icons Pack, exclusive to PlayStation Plus members

These games are part of the free February 2024 PlayStation Plus Essential games. Make sure to add these games to your PS Plus sub before they change over, otherwise, you'll miss out.

When Will The PS Plus March 2024 Free Games Be Confirmed?

We imagine that most PlayStation fans will know how this works, however, for the sake of anyone who might be new to the console, here's a quick explainer.

Traditionally PS Plus games have always been announced on the last Wednesday of the month at 4.30pm on the dot. Then these new titles become available from the PSN store on the first Tuesday of the month.

For the slate of games coming in March 2024 we anticipate that we'll see the new games announced on 28 February 2024, and they should be available to download from 5 March 2024. The Countdown clock below indicates how long you have to wait before they're officially announced from Sony.

Do The PS Plus Free Games Announcements Ever Leak Early?

At the time of writing, there are no leaks to indicate what games might become available to PS Plus essential subscribers in March 2024; the next month in the cycle of 'free' games.

That being said, over the past few years we’ve seen the same leaker – Dealabs user billbil-kun – successfully announce the correct PlayStation Plus lineup a few days before each official announcement.

We would imagine that closer to the announcement we'll once again hear from billbil-kun, but should we hear of any further leaks or rumours in the meantime, we'll be sure to keep this article updated for you.

PS Plus Predictions (AKA - Nonsense)

If you're looking for some predictions as to what games could be available next for PS Plus in 2024, you may as well click off this page right now.

PS Plus 'predictions' are largely nonsense and any sites claiming to offer preductions are largely just stabs in the dark or wishful thinking. The free games available with PS Plus each month rarely adhere to any formula or pattern and whilst we could Mystic Meg you three games that could potentially be picked for next month, it's all largely unverified guesswork.

With such a vast library on the PS4 and PS5, it's impossible to say what games will be made available, so unless you see or hear of any concrete leaks (such as from billbil-kun) you may as well wait for the official announcement from Sony.

Can You Still Download PlayStation Plus Collection Games

Another big change to PS Plus users happened in May 2023, with the loss of the PlayStation Plus Collection.

This curated collection of games has previously been available to PlayStation Plus members on PS5 since 2020, but on May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection was removed from the service.

If you didn't redeem the titles before May 9, then you will need to stump up the cash to own them like everyone else. If you were smart enough to add them to your subscription, then you will still have access as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.
