Shortly after revealing the release date for Lego Horizon Adventures, Sony PlayStation's State of Play also confirmed a release for the widely leaked Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster.
As fans of the series probably know by now, an ESRB listing had also confirmed the existence of a Remaster of the original Horizon game, but this was our first official look at the revamped version of the popular PS4 title.
As expected the upgraded game allows players to experience Aloy's critically acclaimed adventure, but with the same stunning new visuals seen in the more recent Hozion Forbidden West.
According to Sony, the game benefits from not just countless graphical improvements, but also over 10 hours of re-recorded dialogue and conversation mocap.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is set to release on October 31 and will be available on both PS5 and PC. It was also announced that owners of Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4, PC) and/or Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition (PS4, PS5, PC) can upgrade to the digital version of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for $9.99 on both PlayStation 5 console and on PC (via Steam or Epic Game Store). This also includes players who added the game to their libraries during PlayStation’s Play At Home initiative.
