Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have a large number of Tera raids that are available at all times. Most of the time, the Tera raids that are in the game are random, which makes it difficult to farm for a certain Pokemon. Other times, the Tera raids are consistent due to the fact that they are part of an event.

The next event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been announced. Tandemaus will be the next featured Pokemon for the upcoming Valentine's Day event Tera raids. With that being said, we have created this guide to help players who want to know what are the best counters to Tandemaus during the upcoming holiday event in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

When Does The Tandemaus Terai Raid Event Start In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet?

An important piece of information that players will want to know about the upcoming Tandemaus raids is when it starts. Knowing when the upcoming Tera raid event starts will give players an idea of how long they have to prepare for the upcoming raids. After all, it is easier to complete raids if a player is prepared.

The Tandemaus Tera raid event is based on the real-world holiday, Valentine's Day. So that means that players have from February 13th until the end of February 14th to complete the event raid. That gives players two days to complete the raid and plenty of time for players to prepare for the raid.

Best Counters For The Tandemaus Tera Raid Battles

There are two things that will help players determine what Pokemon they should bring to the Tandemaus Tera raid battles. The first is that Tandemaus is naturally a Normal-type Pokemon. The second is that there will be a large number of Tandemaus that will have the Fairy Tera-type.

With those two things in consideration, Gholdengo is the perfect counter to Tandemaus. Gholdengo is part Ghost-type, which means that it will not be affected by Normal-type moves. Gholdengo is also part Steel-type, which means that it will hit the Fairy Tera-type for Supereffective damage. Of course, Tandemaus has a chance to be any Tera-type, but because it has a high chance to be a Fairy Tera-type, Gholdengo is the best counter for this raid event.
