Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have changed many things about how players should approach the game. How you breed Pokemon eggs is different now. The different ways you evolve Pokemon have changed as well. There are so many changes to the game, it can be hard to keep up with.

One of the main changes to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the Rotom phone. The Rotom Phone has many functionalities, including taking selfies by yourself, with friends, or even with Pokemon. If you want to learn how to take a selfie in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, read on to find out how.

As we have said, Pokemon has changed and the ability to take selfies is one of them. However, although you get your Rotom Phone right at the beginning of the game, you will only be prompted to take selfies once you reach Los Platos.

This does not take too long so players can take selfies relatively quickly in the game. All you need to do to take a selfie in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is press the down button on the d-pad. That brings up the normal camera. To activate selfie mode with your Rotom Phone, simply hit the Y button to do so. Once you have done that, you should be in selfie mode.

There are more things that you can do once you are in selfie mode. You can make your own profile picture for your Trainer Card for starters. But you might not want a plain picture.

While in selfie mode, you can actually change your camera filter. Just press left or right on the d-pad and your camera filter should change. On top of that, you can make various expressions while in selfie mode as well. Just up on the d-pad to give yourself a list of expressions and emotions that you can use in selfie mode. Doing so will give your profile pictures your own personality in them.
