With the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there is a bunch of new Pokemon for players to discover. There is a heap of new Pokemon that are completely new to these new versions of the series, but there are also new evolutions as well.

Primeape is a Pokemon that has been in the series since generation 1. This fighting-type Pokemon is a fan favorite and has been around for as long as the series has been released. But did you know that Primeape can now evolve? If you are not too busy getting Herba Mystica in Scarlet and Violet, we will teach you how to evolve Primeape.

The Pokemon that Primeape evolves into is called an Annihilape. It is a Fighting and Ghost-type Pokemon and very strong, so it is worth your time to evolve a Primeape into this.

The first thing you need to do is either catch yourself a Mankey or a Primeape. Both of these Pokemon can actually be caught in the wild. Mankey is easier to find as you can find this Pokemon in the early stages of the game. Mankey can be found in South Province Area One or in West Province Area One. Wild Primeape can be caught in North Province Area One.

If you find Mankey, you will need to evolve it into a Primeape. Get Mankey to level 28 and you will get a Primeape. Now the next step is to get your Primeape to level 35. On this level, Primape will learn a move called Rage Fist. Learn this move as it is essential to getting Annihilape.

Your next step is this, you need to have Primeape use Rage Fist 20 times. Once you have done that, you will then need to level up your Primeape. Upon level up, if you used Rage Fist 20 times, your Primeape will now evolve into an Annihilape.

Is Annihilape Good?

Annihilape is one of the better Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, at least in terms of normal gameplay. Rage Fist gets stronger anytime Annhilape takes damage from attacks. The best part is that the stacks remain for the entirety of battle unless Annhilape gets knocked out.

On top of that, Annihilape has above-average stats, especially when it comes to its attack stat. The Ghost typing also helps Annihliape go after Psychic Pokemon more comfortably whereas Primeape would get rolled by them. Annihilape is a good Pokemon that you should definitely consider for your team.
