Recently, it was revealed that Dragapult would be one of these new event raid Pokemon.

Although catching an event Dragapult is great, the chance to get a shiny version of this Pokemon is even better. With that being said, is it even possible to get a shiny Dragapult during the event raids in Pokemon Violet? We will explore that possibility here.

Can I Get Shiny Dragapult From The Event Raids In Pokemon Violet?

First, we should go over what kind of raid this actually is. Although it is called an event raid, there is actually nothing too special about the Dragapult you will go against. These Dragapult can be either a 4-star or a 5-star raid. You will need to beat the main story of the game to get 5-star raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

On top of that, the Dragapult you will be facing can be any Tera type. There are also no special markings on these Dragapult as well. This raid is very similar to the recent Tyranitar and Salamance raids.

With all that being said, yes, you can catch a shiny Dragapult through these event raids. You can catch as many Dragapult as you want, so there is no reason for these Pokemon to be shiny-locked.

Can Pokemon Scarlet Players Do A Shiny Dragapult Event Raid?

The Dragapult event Raids are Violet exclusives. That means that a Dragapult raid will never appear in Pokemon Scarlet. But that does not mean Scarlet players cannot do these Dragapult event raids.

Pokemon Scarlet players will just have to do online raids to get the chance to catch a shiny Dragapult during the event raids. Pokemon Violet players will likely post the Dragapult raids up because they want the human player to help to take down Dragapult rather than working with random AI characters.
