How to get Aggron in Pokémon BDSP

Aggron is back in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and isn’t difficult to find.
How to get Aggron in Pokémon BDSP
There are a plethora of Steel-type Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl but few are more intimidating or stronger than Aggron. The Generation III Pokémon has the secondary typing of Rock and can absolutely decimate teams. Players who have gone up against Byron’s second Gym battle will know how strong Aggron can be against certain Pokémon.

If players want to add an Aggron to their party, they can go about doing so in a couple of ways. Both routes take some time, though, so players shouldn’t expect to run through the Sinnoh Gyms with an Aggron by their side.

The quickest way to acquire Aggron is by going into Victory Road. Aggron can spawn right inside of the entrance to Victory Road at various levels. So unless you use Repels, then you’ll likely run into an Aggron while navigating the cave. However, in order to trigger this encounter, you need to have beaten the Pokémon League and acquired the National Dex.

You can acquire the National Dex by seeing all 150 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex and then talking to Professor Rowan in Sandgem Town.

If you want to train your own Aggron, then you can also catch its pre-evolved forms in the Grand Underground. Both Aron and Lairon can be caught in various caves underneath the surface. Those caves are listed below:

  • Whiteout Cave
  • Rocky Cave
  • Icy Cave
  • Glacial Cavern
  • Big Blugg Cavern

Both Aron and Lairon can spawn here, so you should have your pick of either Pokémon. If you catch an Aron at a low level, then you can train it to level 32 to evolve it into Lairon and then level 42 to acquire Aggron.

Those are both ways you can add an Aggron to your party in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
