Pokémon Presents is a series of livestreamed presentations hosted by The Pokémon Company, as this livestreamed event provides the latest news, updates, and announcements for the long-running global IP. These presentations have been held periodically across various digital platforms since 2015, which many players look forward to in the hopes of new Pokémon gaming announcements.
The forthcoming Pokémon Presents livestream is rumored to occur in February 2025, with no official announcement to report on, as we may expect some updates on the next entry in the core gaming series, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, slated for a 2025 release. Unfortunately, a new Pokémon GO datamine has been leaked, going viral on social media, as it seemingly confirms the existence of a Pokémon Presents livestream happening soon.
Unpacking the latest datamine, which The Pokemod Group spotted on 8th January 2025, revealed plenty of key details coming to Pokémon GO in a future update. This includes the recurring in-game event, the Pokémon GO Tour, which is confirmed to feature new stories and Pokemon from the Unova region with leaked details of unique themed content for the Pokémon Presents presentation.
Some themed content leaked from the datamine includes "Pokémon Presents 2025 x GO Tour: Unova Timed Research" tasks coming soon to Pokémon GO. This accidentally confirms the next Pokémon Presents livestream is reportedly set to happen at the start, during, or near the end of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event, which the countdown indicates that the in-game event will begin in February 2025.
The next Pokémon Presents livestream may line up with past livestreams broadcasted in February 2016, 2019, and 2021 to 2024, as it may coincide with the 29th anniversary of Pocket Monsters Red and Pocket Monsters Green's Japanese release this February. As of writing, there's no word from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company on the date and time for the Pokémon Presents livestream, which comes as Nintendo will announce the Nintendo Switch 2 "within this fiscal year."
