Pokémon Day is just around the corner, and during the Pokémon Presents the release of the remakes of the fourth generation titles, Diamond and Pearl, has been confirmed, something players have been waiting for years.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will take us back to the Sinnoh region, considered by many to be the best region and generation of the main saga for its content and history, giving it a cult status within the franchise.
Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming release from The Pokémon Company and Nintendo.
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Gameplay Details
The new Pokémon games will be located in the Sinnoh region, following the story of the original Diamond and Pearl games, with both graphical improvements and some other changes.
The one that stands out the most has been the appearance of the characters, having a more "chibi" touch similar to the appearance on the Game Boy Advance games.
Still, many of the aspects of the original titles have been preserved, giving it a great sense of nostalgia that will please the players of the Nintendo DS games.
The games are being developed by Ilca, the studio which was also in charge of the development of Pokémon HOME, Pokémon's cloud storage system, with Yuichi Ueda and Junichi Masuda as directors in charge of the games.
Additionally, the game's soundtrack has been remastered and it sounds better than ever before, bringing more life to your entire Sinnoh adventure.
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: When will these be released?
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be available only on Nintendo Switch in Late 2021, with an estimated price of US$59.99 and €59.99.
More information on these will be released throughout the year.
