Pokémon Sword and Shield’s first expansion Isle of Armor will release on Wednesday 17th June, a new trailer has confirmed.

While many perhaps hoped the Pokémon Company would deliver a surprise release after promising an announcement today (Tuesday 2nd June), it seems we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for the first Sword and Shield expansion.

A new trailer also highlights some of the new monsters coming in the expansion, including the first look at Galarian Slowbro with new ability Quick Draw.

Along with showcasing the new Gigantamax forms for Sword and Shield’s starters, new Galarian forms for the original legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres were also revealed for The Crown Tundra expansion.

You can check out each new Galarian legendary bird below.

If that wasn’t enough, there was also Gigantamax versions of Blastoise and Venosaur shown, and two new Regi Pokémon whose Japanese names are Regidraco and Regieleci - a dragon type and electric type respectively.

Gigantamax forms for Urshifu were also shown, essentially packing quite a bit into a small trailer.
