How to heal in Rainbow Six Extraction

Healing in Rainbow Six Extraction is not as straightforward as you might expect, and this Rainbow Six Extraction guide will explain to you how to self-heal and how healing system works in general.
How to heal in Rainbow Six Extraction

Rainbow Six Extraction missions are designed to offer high-risk high-reward experiences and that means that healing and self-healing are limited.

In addition, the healing system is also designed to encourage a stealthy and careful approach to each mission and objective, and players might be punished if play recklessly.

Numerous healing restrictions are definitely a good way to ramp up excitement when playing the game and give players an opportunity to show off their skills on higher difficulty settings, but this can also be frustrating for more casual players who just want to have fun, especially because healing in Rainbow Six Extraction is not particularly well explained.

Luckily for you, we are here to give you a full breakdown of how healing works in Rainbow Six Extraction.

How to regen health in Rainbow Six Extraction?

In Rainbow Six Extraction, your operators won't regenerate health by themselves while on a mission, which means that players need to be really careful not to take damage.

And given that each mission consists of three sub-levels, each time you choose not to extract your operator upon finishing a segment, the risk of dying significantly increases.

If your operator dies during a mission, you will not be able to play him again until you play another "extraction" mission in order to save him. In addition, if your operator was severely wounded during a mission, his health will not instantly regenerate upon completing the mission, rather he will remain wounded for some time.

As you can see, the operator's health is really important in Rainbow Six Extraction, so try not to lose much of it.

If you do lose some health, the best way to regenerate it is by using medkits, which are scattered around maps but are very scarce.

But even this is not as easy as you might be used to from other games. Unfortunately, these medkits are not items that you can pick up and use as needed, rather you can only use them there where you find them, you can not bring them with you for later use. Once you find them, hold F (on PC) to interact with the medkit and heal yourself.

Alternatively, you can have operator Doc in your squad, who is a healer character and whose Health Pistol can heal or revive himself or his teammates when downed.

So, there you have it, that's all you need to know about healing in Rainbow Six Extraction.
