Will Cal Kestis appear in the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series?

With so many Star Wars references, many fans wonder if Cal Kestis is in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series?
Will Cal Kestis appear in the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series?

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series contains many Star Wars references from the prequel and original trilogy films. Still, many fans have eagerly awaited appearances from Jedi, such as Cal Kestis. So far, the video game-based Jedi hasn't appeared in the show, but there is a mountain of evidence pointing to a potential crossover.

As each week in Obi-Wan Kenobi passes, more references are made, and the chances for an appearance from Cal increase. Quinlan Vos is another Jedi who has already had a confirmed mention, but he has yet to meet Kenobi again. But, if Obi-Wan will take on all previous adversaries, he may need help from another in the Order.

Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi - Why Cal Kestis could appear

Without getting into the latest news on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a few Easter Eggs point directly to Cal Kestis within a couple of live-action Star Wars shows, including Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The first show was Book of Boba Fett, where Mando can be seen meeting a BD-1 droid. This is the same kind of droid that Cal is known to have, and it's certainly no coincidence.

Another reference was in Episode 3 of the Obi-Wan show. There is a fortress set in the middle of an ocean where the Inquisitors have their base of operations. From the appearance, this is the same fortress that Cal Kestis takes down in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Darth Vader attacked Cal there, and it could happen again.

These references are enough evidence that there is at least an acknowledgment of the story in Fallen Order. Furthermore, if rumors are true, the Purge Troopers seen in Fallen Order will also appear in Obi-Wan, bringing the Easter Eggs up even further. Showrunners are intentionally adding these crossover references, and fans are noticing.

Without the Easter Eggs, many were hoping for a cameo of some sort, but the latest announcement for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor made the chances of Cal appearing even stronger. The timelines of the show and the games are much closer than we thought, and we now know when they take place.

The timelines of Cal Kestis and Obi-Wan Kenobi

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order takes place five years after Order 66 and Revenge of the Sith. With the trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor dropping on the same day as the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, we also got confirmation that the sequel game takes place five years after Fallen Order.

Overall, this means Cal will lead Jedi Survivor 10 years after Order 66 took place, and as it happens, so does the Obi-Wan series. Not only do both of these stories take place in the same year, but they are both up against the Inquisitors. Their struggles are the same, and their timelines should match up exactly.

This is not a confirmation that Cal Kestis will appear in Obi-Wan, but the odds seem higher and higher with each passing week. Disney has been very specific with their recent shows, and all of these hints don't seem like an accident.
