Riot Games Unveils Teamfight Tactics Dragonlands Uncharted Realms

Riot Games introduces new mechanics, units, traits, augments, and more to Teamfight Tactics (TFT) every few months. The previous Set 7.0 introduced players to dragons and the dragon treasure mechanic. Now, it’s been well over a couple of months since then, and the upcoming Mid-Set is at players’ doorsteps.

On 22nd August 2022, Riot Games announced TFT Set 7.5, Dragonlands: Uncharted Realms. The upcoming update introduces various new characters, traits, augments, items, and mechanics to enjoy. Additionally, Set 7.5 encourages the theme of dragons extending the original number of seven dragonic units to twelve.

TFT Dragonlands: Uncharted Realms introduces many things, including a lot more dragons.

Dragonlands: Uncharted Realms evolves the dragon theme players’ have become accustomed to during Set 7.0 but adds more variety and potential for creativity in mix-matching compositions.

Instead of hyper-rolling one-cost units for most early-to-mid games, the Mid-Set focuses on creating builds around various traits and utilizing dragons much more.

In Set 7.5, the storyline deepens: "Pengu and his crew have transformed the beloved dragon realm, uncovering previously hidden areas and significantly changing how dragons are deployed in battle."

"It’s easier than ever to incorporate these scaly titans into teams, synergizing their abilities with a diverse roster of champions and other units to become the last one standing against seven other players.”

The update holds various new dragonic augments and allows players to make teams using dragons purely. In addition, this Mid-Set introduces a new TFT-exclusive unit called Sohm, similar to Daeja in functionality.

There are new items, and some older items have been updated. However, when playing, one of the more intriguing features to land in Set 7.5 is the two Dragon Treasure variations (Chaos and Order Dragon Treasure).

“Chaos drops wildly different items, pulling from the entire loot table. If that’s too wild, the Order dragon dependably drops Radiant items, boosting the power for the entire lobby.”

Lagoon is a new trait in Set 7.5.

Besides all the new units, dragons, and augments, there are some cool traits to grace Set 7.5: Lagoon and Darkflight. Lagoon is somewhat of a mix between Astral, Ragewing, and Mage as it provides ability power, attack speed, and loot after a certain amount of spell casts.

Darkflight allows players to put items on a character and place it in the Darkflight hex. At the start of combat, the character will die, and each Darkflight champion will receive one of the items. And that’s most of the notable features coming with TFT Dragonlands: Uncharted Realms.

The patch officially hits PBE servers on 23rd August 2022, and Set 7.5 will formally debut on main servers worldwide on 8th September 2022 with Patch 12.17.
