The moment has arrived. After three months since the release of Set 5 of Teamfight Tactics: Reckoning, it is time to turn the page and make way for a new one expansion charged with light and hope, after battling in a world full of chaos and destruction.

With the arrival of Patch 11.15, TFT players will be able to witness the Dawn of Heroes, bringing with it many changes that will shake the meta from its roots, so in case you have not been able to try it on the PBE or you live under a rock, you will be more than prepared with these patch notes.

As we mentioned before, with the release of this new update, the original Reckoning set will suffer lots of changes, meaning most of its major features like the Shadow Items, some of its traits and champions, and its Battle Pass rewards will not be available from now on.

Now moving onto the main features of this patch, the new expansion for the Set 5 of Teamfight Tactics will finally make its debut, coming with lots of new additions that will bring a fresher and heroic feeling to the auto battler.

Let's see the main changes this set will bring:

Champion & traits changes

Three new traits will be added as part of the game’s new meta, with the featured ones being related to the Sentinels of Light event, coming with a few new champions as well.

As the Black Mist has also lost some power thanks to the rebuilding of the Skyglass, five traits and 13 champions will be eliminated from the game, so many of the most OP comps will pass through a full overhaul.

In addition, some of the traits will also have changes in their passives, to compensate for the removed champions and the new mechanics we will talk about next.

You can check all the traits and units added and removed into the Dawn of Heroes in our new Champions and Traits overview.

Radiant Items

The main mechanic of the Reckoning Set known as the Shadow Items, special items that grant powerful bonuses but with effects that can affect its wielder, will make its farewell in the new expansion, making space for the introduction of the Radiant Items.

Radiant Items will carry the full potential of their counterparts (and even a little more in certain cases), without affecting or bringing any curse to their wearer or the units around them. These objects will be to one per match, so you must choose wisely the unit you choose to reinforce, or you may have to adapt to the options that appear when you choose it.

Radiant Items will be available during Round 3-6 (thus eliminating the selection for Round 3-2), having a total of five random options which will not require you to make use of your components, nor to spend gold or even look for them on the Carousel.

Divine Blessings and Tome of Emblems

Another of the new mechanics comes in the form of the Divine Blessings, new orbs that will give players more opportunities to come back in the game by awarding a special golden orb when they have less than 40 HP.

The content of these can vary since they can include everything from object components to special artifacts, and the drops will be the same for all the players present in the game.

The inclusion of these divine orbs will bring with it the debut of a special item, known as the Tome of Emblems. Players will be able to obtain this from both Divine Blessing orbs as well as golden orbs. In case you are lucky enough to receive it, it will be automatically placed on your bench from where you can sell it.

When sold, it will activate the new Emblem Armory, which will present you with four different emblems that will represent some of the traits available in the game, depending on how your team is composed at the time.

The Emblem Armory will also contain traits that cannot be replicated with the use of Spatulas, so it will present a new window to extend the limit of your compositions to another level.

Reckoning II Pass, Little Legends, and Arenas

A new Battle Pass with lots of rewards for all players will be available for the second part of the Set 5, lasting up to three months until the release of a new set.

There will be plenty of free rewards for those who cannot purchase the Pass at the moment, however if you have a chance to get it, it will be available in the in-game store for a price of 1,295 RP.

You can check out some of the content that will come in this new Pass, as well as what will be available like new Arenas, Little Legends, and more, in our Dawn of Heroes content overview.

And voila, this is all you need to know about what is coming in the TFT Patch 11.16 and the Dawn of Heroes expansion, available on 21st July.
