If you have already played The Last of Us 2's gripping 20+ hours long campaign on the PS4 and don't want to play through it again in the game's PS5 remastered version, there's good news. There is a way to carry over your save file to the PS5 version of the game and gain access to all the chapter progress and collectibles you may have unlocked in the base version.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered features striking visuals, additional levels, and a fun new rogue-lite mode called No Return. However, if you're simply interested in experiencing Abby and Ellie's cycle of violence again or trying the new Lost Levels, which requires campaign progress, continue reading to learn how to import your PS4 save file to the game's PS5 version.

There are two ways to transfer your PS4 save data to The Last of Us 2 Remastered. If you own a physical copy of the PS4 version, you can use a USB stick to transfer the data. Alternatively, if you're subscribed to PS Plus, you can upload the save data to the cloud on your PS4 and download it on your PS5.

On the other hand, if you own the game digitally, simply start The Last of Us 2 Remastered, and select the Story option from the main menu. Here, you will find an option to Import Game. Select it to find all your PS4 save files for The Last of US 2.

In addition to the save files, the Import Game option will also import all your trophies from the base game, so you won't have to unlock them all over again. Pretty sweet, right?
