Resident Evil Netflix Series Unlock Time

Netflix's highly anticipated Resident Evil TV adaptation launches on 14th July, here's a guide on when and how you can start watching.
Resident Evil Netflix Series Unlock Time

Netflix's series adaptation of Resident Evil has been a long time coming, and thankfully, the wait is nearly over. While canon to the game series, the Resident Evil TV series largely focuses on a new cast of characters with a few returning faces here and there.

Fans are both excited and skeptical, primarily because there haven't been good TV and movie adaptations of Capcom's icon survival horror franchise to date. If the trailers were any indication, this new Resident Evil TV adaptation could finally break the curse of underwhelming live-action RE shows. With that said, here's when you can actually start watching it.

When will the Resident Evil Netflix TV series be available?

The Resident Evil TV series will be available on Netflix on 14th July 2022 at 3 am ET/ 12 am PT / 12.30 IST. Like most Netflix Originals, the RE live-action series will be available in its entirety for you to binge-watch. If you didn't know, the first season of Netflix's Resident Evil features eight episodes, with each episode approximately an hour in length.

The story unfolds from the perspective of Jade Wesker, daughter of the infamous Albert Wesker, who's inexplicably brought back from the dead in this series.

According to the show's official description - "Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father's chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie."

The initial reviews for the Resident Evil TV series have been polarising, with few outlets downright praising the adaptation and calling it the best live-action Resident Evil ever, while others calling it yet another zombie flick with a Resident Evil logo slapped on it.

As for our review, look back on Monday 18th July for an in-depth analysis of the first season of Netflix's Resident Evil TV series.
