Supercell's Clash universe, which includes mobile gaming releases Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, will get the Hollywood treatment as it's "invading" Netflix. The Finnish developer and Netflix announced this news across their social media platforms with an accompanying announcement teaser released to the Clash of Clans' YouTube channel.

But when Barbarians, Hog Riders, and Archers will assemble for their small screen debut remains unclear, as more news will be announced, according to the developer. Either way, the Clash universe joins a number of video game-adapted projects produced by Netflix, including Arcane, Castlevania, Sonic Prime, and, more recently, Devil May Cry.

Finnish developer Supercell and the global streaming service Netflix are banding together to bring the battle-ready (and shared) universe of the Clash of Clans and Clash Royale games to the streaming service. This forthcoming project was announced on 20th May 2025, which was first revealed by American entertainment site Variety before the official confirmation by Supercell and Netflix, much to the delight of Clash fans who had been asking for years for an adaptation.

According to Variety, the forthcoming animated series follows “a determined, but in over his head, Barbarian who must rally a band of misfits to defend their village and navigate the comically absurd politics of war.” This animated show is reportedly in the pre-production phase with ICON Creative Studio, who previously worked on Monsters At Work, Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures, and The Search for WondLA, leading the animation for the series.

Clash fans will have to hold onto their hogs as Supercell promises to keep them updated on forthcoming news and developments on the Clash series, likely through their social media and YouTube channels. It's also possible we may also learn more about the Clash series at the next Netflix Geeked Week; however, don't quite expect a release date to be announced as it's in pre-production.
