FaZe Clan reveals new roster for VCT 2022 Season

Popular esports organisation FaZe Clan has finally unveiled its roster for Valorant, merely hours ahead of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2022 North America season. The roster was leaked prematurely on tournament page Battlefy on 25th January but has since been confirmed by the American esports giant.

Regardless of the leak, FaZe Clan's reveal trailer announcement on 26th January hyped fans, with the caption marking "a new beginning." Despite having an underwhelming performance in 2021 and failing to capitalise fully, the newly rebuilt roster is looking to shock the competition thanks to four fresh faces ready to take on the new Valorant competitive season.

Opening the new roster is Quan "dicey" Tran, a former 100 Thieves player who managed to win the First Strike tournament in 2020. Dicey is joined by a familiar face; chiefly, Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski, an esports pro who has a long history in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

While featuring on the main roster of Immortals during 2021, ShoT_UP didn't manage to perform well with his former with the team, falling short in most of the Challengers tournaments. However, fans are hopeful to see ShoT_UP shoot back (pun intended) to his former glory this season.

Both players will be joined by former Teal Seam members Xavier "flyuh" Carlson and Chris "LarryBanks" Doyi. Flyuh and Larrybanks demonstrated great potential during FaZe Clan's tryouts held in the last few months and will have a chance to showcase their skill soon.

The squad is made whole with Andrej "babybay" Francisty, the only member from the old roster to remain with FaZe. Given his experience in other FPS titles and aggressive playstyle, babybay will serve as a mentor and powerhouse in the team.

Leading the mics on the back, both Josh "JDM" Marzano and Thomas "Trippy" Schappy will continue to command as the head and assistant coaches, respectively.

In addition, all other members from Teal Seam have also joined the American esports giant as the FaZe Academy team after showing great potential during the lead-up to the 2022 Season.
