Disabled gamer thankful to Microsoft for making it possible to set virtual prosthetic limb

Often, the smallest details are appreciated the most.
Disabled gamer thankful to Microsoft for making it possible to set virtual prosthetic limb

In the recent few years, Microsoft has become the undisputed leader when it comes to caring for disabled gamers.

Two years ago, they introduced the first-ever controller designed for disabled people and their needs - Xbox Adaptive Controller, designed primarily to meet the needs of gamers with limited mobility. With its wast options for customization, you can "create a custom controller experience that is uniquely yours."

Sure, some could say that they're a bit expensive, but one could argue that there's no price to someone's joy in life, and to be honest, these things don't look cheap at all. It's a niche market, and Microsoft even paid Super Bowl commercial slot to advertise it.

And how grateful people can be when someone shows even the smallest amount of care, we saw last night on Xbox subreddit, where user u/faithlesspug shared his Xbox avatar, saying only words of praise for Microsoft. As you can see in the picture below, the reason for his gratefulness is the fact that he can set a prosthetic limb. He said in the title of the Reddit thread that he lost his leg during an accident.

In one of the comments, he said, "I was always creating characters in games close to my real look as it is possible and I discovered this prosthetic limbs by accident and it really made me cry (in a good way) - a small thing which made me somehow really more comfy and which I didn't know I need. As you said - it's about making someone to feel as a part of community :)"

Heartwarming stories like this are teaching us to appreciate small things even more, but what's more important - to always think about those little details that will make people around us happy.
