Dolmen - Release date, features, gameplay, and more

From Massive Work Studio, a new action role-playing game featuring elements of science-fiction and cosmic horror called Dolmen is finally arriving. Initially started with a Kickstarter back in 2018, the developers have announced an official release date.

Crawling with Lovecraftian-like aliens, this game will push players’ skills as they take down bosses and level up their character. Dolmen is considered an indie game, but it promises to delight fans of any Soulsborne games.

Dolmen release date

Dolmen is set to release on 20 May 2022 for PS4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X/S, and PC. The game can currently be pre-ordered and is for £34.99. Those who pre-order will receive special items detailed below.

If players pre-order the game, they will receive an in-game bonus called the Rebel Set. The Rebel Set then provides special unlocks including armor, a sword, and axe.

Dolmen features and gameplay

Dolmen will feature a gameplay style much like the Soulsborne games as an action RPG. Players will be able to customize their characters, earn new weapons and gear, and slay Lovecraftian-like creatures as they explore the mining planet of Revion Prime. 

A large arsenal of weapons will be available from guns to melee weapons to help you fight the horrific aliens. Characters will gain experience as they fight aliens and uncover the secrets of Revion Prime.

Players will be to explore an open world where they can gather supplies that can be used to craft the items and goods they will need to survive the alien planet.

The game will revolve around a story where your timeline is being erased. The only way to save it is to go to Revion Prime and uncover the cause by returning crystals with unique properties called Dolmen.
