The legendary EA Sports Skate series is set to continue with the popular game developers confirming that Skate 4 is indeed still in the works. In addition to the reminder, EA recently released a trailer video showcasing some of the first looks at actual gameplay footage.
Skate fans around the world were certainly delighted with the content, and are already banging the drum for Skate 4 to hit shelves. But before the title officially releases, the game devs want players to be able to work through a beta version. For those interested in playing early, here's how to join the Skate 4 playtest.
Skate 4 - Trailer and Playtest
In a recent post to the official Skate 4 website, the game developers welcomed eager fans to get a glimpse of what Skate 4 will have to offer upon release. “We told you we’re back, and we’re still working on it, but it’s time for you to see what we’ve been up to. It’s still early, but we want to get this right and that means we want you to be a part of it.”

How to join Skate 4 playtest
As mentioned, players will have the chance to join the Skate 4 playtest and jump into all the action before the title officially releases. To be eligible for the playtest period, players must sign up/sign in to the EA Sports playtest program.
The sign-up is free of cost, but you'll have to agree to a few terms and stipulations in order to be eligible for the Skate 4 playtest. Sharing any videos, captures, screenshots, or streaming of anything in the game is prohibited. It's also an invite-only basis from the game developers, so there's no guarantee you'll be selected.
EA Sports didn't provide a date yet for either the playtest or the full release of Skate 4, but the progress update is certainly promising. We'll be sure to monitor the situation and keep you updated should there be more juicy Skate 4 news.
