Marauders - Release date, gameplay, features and more

Marauders is an in-progress first-person multiplayer looter shooter game developed by Small Impact that will have players embracing their inner space pirates. Players can either play solo or form squads of up to four players to assist them on daring raids in deep space's vast, hostile parts.

Despite being set in an alternate timeline, Marauders boasts iconic weaponry from yesteryear, which players can use to take down human- or AI-controlled enemies. Here's everything you need to know about Marauders, including its release date, how to get early access, gameplay and features, and more.

Marauders - Release Date

There is no official release date for Marauders at the time of writing. However, Team17 said that "Marauders will have its global public hands-on demo at the Team17 booth during WASD" in London, the UK, between 7th and 9th April 2022. 

Marauders will launch exclusively on PC, with no indication from the developers regarding current-gen or next-gen console ports. Additionally, there is no information about the game's retail price.

However, in an interview with The Loadout, Small Impact's Cameron SMall said that the game would be "affordable" for most players. Small also hinted at potential future next-gen console ports, but noted that ports for the "PS4 and Xbox One" consoles "won't happen."

Marauders - How to get Early Access

Pre-orders for Marauders will be made available on Steam and the Microsoft Store soon, granting early access to the game's upcoming closed Alpha commencing later this year. Players can add Marauders to their wishlist to be notified when the game is live for pre-ordering or purchase.

Marauders - Gameplay

As mentioned earlier, Marauders is a tactical multiplayer first-person shooter game set in an alternative "dieselpunk" universe, where The Great War never ended. Based in the 1990s, Earth has been industrialised, and many have fled to the stars.

Marauders tasks players to assume the role of "a roving space pirate," piloting ships through the hostile galaxy, finding valuable loot, and surviving by all means necessary. The game includes a menu of roughly fifty weapons from the World War era, including the STG-44, BAR, Bren MK2, Uzi and PPSh, among others.

Upgrade your ship's armaments; build a brand-new craft with scavenged resources; or take someone else's by force 

Marauders - PC System Requirements

There are currently no PC system specifications for Marauders at writing. However, the Steam Store page notes that the game requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
