Nobody Saves the World is the first-ever RPG title coming from Drinkbox Studios, the developers known for their fun-inducing Guacamelee! series.

Specialising in puzzle-platformers and Metroidvania action platformers, Nobody Saves the World is their first foray into the action RPG genre.

And while the genre might be different, the characteristic visual style, wacky presentation and humorous narrative are still there, and fans of Guacamelee! games will recognize it at first sight.

So, with all that being said - what exactly is Nobody Saves the World? Let's find out!

As we've already mentioned, Nobody Saves the World is an action role-playing dungeon crawling game.

In its essence, Nobody Saves the World is all about shape-shifting and changing into various Forms.

Contrary to its name - everyone saves the world! What does that actually mean?

Well, in Nobody Saves the World we are playing as a single character named Nobody, but, we will soon learn the art of transformation which will help us to become one of over 15 different creatures, known as "Forms", including a Slug, Ghost, Dragon, Horse, and more.

Each of these varied and distinct Forms unlocks as you complete important quests on your journey, which in turn will unlock even more challenging quests to learn new shapes.

Each Form starts with two basic abilities, and as you level up you will unlock more abilities and upgrade the ones you already have.

The main gimmick is that you can merge abilities and stats from different Forms and create devastating combos, with endless possibilities for different combinations and builds.

The world is divided into the overworld and dungeons. The overworld is hand-crafted, while dungeons are procedurally generated, and you will be able to unlock several legendary dungeons as you earn Star, a currency for unlocking those dungeons.
