In 2023, the Slender Man franchise is seeing a revival in some form or another, thanks to a countdown timer that's appeared on the website for the 2013 game Slender: The Arrival.

With this recent announcement fans have a ton of questions on their mind. We're here to answer as many of them as we can. So here's everything we know so far about the revival of Slender Man so fans of the franchise can know what to expect.

Will The New Slender Man Game Be A Remake Or A Reboot?

With the announcement fans are asking one question more than any other: will the new Slender Man game be a reboot of 'Slender: The Arrival', a remake, or a sequel. It could even be something entirely new.

We don't know quite yet, but what we do know is that there's an incredibly exciting new title just over the horizon. It's very possible that 2023's Slender Man game could be a remake of Blue Isles' 2013 title, offering updated graphics, gameplay mechanics, and more. On the other hand, it could offer a new perspective on the Slender Man franchise, taking players on a new journey.

However, given the studio is using the old website of Slender: The Arrival, as well as hashtags such as '#SlenderTA' it would seem to suggest that this is more likely a remake or reboot of the original game as opposed to something wholly new.

We don't know when Slender: The Arrival 2023 will come out just yet. However, there's a countdown timer on the game's website that's counting down until 27 July 2023. It's highly possible that developers could announce the game's release date on 27 July, or even release the entire game. For now, though, we'll just have to wait and see what Blue Isle Studios have in store.
