The Game Awards 2021, one of the biggest nights in gaming and esports, begins soon, with gaming reveals and announcements to anticipate. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, many will be tuning to see their favourite games winning top honours or their favourite esports team or content creator being recognised for their amazing efforts this year.

Ahead of the live broadcast of The Game Awards, we have all the details on how you can watch the annual gaming awards ceremony plus the start time and some of the confirmed announcements that will be taking place throughout the ceremony.

How to watch The Game Awards 2021?

The Game Awards 2021 will be streaming across multiple online and digital platforms including Twitch, YouTube and Twitter. To tune in, viewers can search for The Game Awards on either platform and can set reminders that will notify them when the livestream is about to start.

Additionally, you interact with their live feed on Twitter by reacting to all the latest news, updates, winners, game reveals and announcements using the hashtag #TheGameAwards.

The show’s producer and host, Geoff Keighley will be hosting a post-show Twitter Spaces for “a lively discussion” on the biggest winners, announcements and more from The Game Awards.

What is the start time for The Game Awards 2021?

The Game Awards 2021 will be live streaming on 9 December 2021 at 4:30 pm PT / 12:30 am GMT across the above-mentioned online and digital platforms.

The pre-show portion of the event will feature more than 10 game reveals and announcements which will be hosted by Sydnee Goodman.

The main show broadcast of the annual gaming awards ceremony, which will likely run for three hours, will include the night’s biggest awards, game reveals and announcements.

Expected announcements at The Game Awards 2021?

As the event is about celebrating the past year of gaming and esports as well as looking ahead into 2022, there have been confirmed announcements for upcoming games including the following:

  • The Matrix Awakens full reveal
  • Saints Row reboot
  • Dying Light 2
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
  • Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansion
  • Xbox Game Pass for PC unannounced games

There will also be some film and TV trailers and announcements taking place during The Game Awards including Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Halo and The Matrix Resurrections.
