Unfortunately, you won't always spawn right next to your friends when playing with them in 7 Days to Die. This can mean that you'll often have to traverse a ton of ground before you're able to catch up with your buddies and share resources like food and water, kill zombies together, start a group farm, and work as a real team.

It can be a little frustrating getting to your friends in 7 Days to Die if you don't know how to locate them on 7 Days to Die's big map. If you know the best ways to find your friends, though, this process can be a little easier. Here's how to find your friends in 7 Days to Die even if you spawn far apart.

How To Find Your Friends in 7 Days to Die

To find your friends in 7 Days to Die, you'll need to use in-game tools to identify their location. Then, you'll need to manually find your way over to them by traversing the map. Unfortunately, getting to your friends is often harder than finding them, but both steps of the process can be pretty annoying if you don't know what you're doing.

One way to find your friends is to find your coordinates on the map, and ask them to call out theirs - or find them on your map. Then, you can simply try to get to one another's coordinates as quickly as possible. Ideally, you'll want to use a car to move faster, or even a Gyrocopter if you're lucky enough to have already crafted one.

To see your friends on the map more easily, press the "M" button to see the full map. You'll notice that you'll have to manually find your friends in your friends list before tracking them

Find your Friends list under "Players" and then "Allies", finding any friend you'd like to track. Add the friend as an ally, and then track them. You can only track one friend at a time. Click their name and select "Track Friend" from the drop-down list.

After tracking the friend, a green dot should appear on the compass at the bottom of your screen. This will let you know which direction you need to go to get to your friend as quickly as possible. Head in that direction if you want to take the shortest path to the tracked friend.

Still having trouble meeting up with your mates? You can try verbally speaking, since voices carry pretty far in 7 Days to Die and might be heard by those looking for you. You can ask your friends to do the same so you can keep an eye - and an ear - out for them.
