7 Days To Die has been around for nearly 10 years now. Although the developers still have the game in early access and call each big update an alpha update, there are many who are playing this game. Rather than wait on an official release date, there are many playing 7 Days to Die now due to the fact that they think it is a survival game done right. 7 Days To Die is primarily played on PC but there has been a couple of console releases in the past. As of the latest developer update, it looks like 7 Days to Die is coming to the PS5. With that in mind, we have all the information about the PS5 release for 7 Days to Die.

PAX East returns from March 21 and if you needed a reminder, we should be hearing more about the PS5 console version of 7 Days To Die!
The Fun Pumps will have demos of their new game 7 Days Blood Moons AND the console versions of 7 Days To Die at PAX East later this month.
We also have a name for the console versions of the game: 7 Days to Die Apocalypse Edition.
When Is 7 Days to Die Coming to the PS5?
Throughout the years, the developers of 7 Days To Die have given their community regular updates on what is happening with the game on consoles, but with regards to future releases, we do have some concrete information.
In one of the most recent posts on Twitter, it was confirmed that console versions of the game will be out this year (2024), however, a specific time window has yet to be established.
7 Days To Die Running On PS5
In one of the most recent updates, the developers confirmed that 7 Days To Die is coming on the PS5. They even had gameplay footage of the game running on the PS5 (seen below). In the footage, the PS5 version of the game is running on the Alpha 21 build. So 7 Days To Die on the PS5 could potentially come out with the Alpha 21 build of the game. But it is more likely that the PS5 release will come with Alpha 22. It seems like the developers want the PS5 version to launch on the newest update possible. So an Alpha 21 launch might not happen for the PS5 version of the game.
What To Expect With 7 Days To Die On The PS5
Although 7 Days To Die still remains in early access, the game is absolutely filled with content. There is a reason why people are still loyally playing this game although it has been in early access for nearly 10 years. With that in mind, the developers will want to have the PS5 version of the game feel as fresh as possible.
That means that the Alpha 22 version will likely bring something new for everyone, not just PS5 players. New weapons, new mechanics, and a lot more are expected for the PS5 version of the game. We will keep this page updated once we know more about the PS5 version of 7 Days To Die.
